FIFA President Gianni Infantino promises to visit Kyrgyzstan upon resumption of international flights
AKIPRESS.COM – FIFA President Gianni Infantino promised to visit Kyrgyzstan after resumption of international flights and reopening of borders, Kyrgyz Football Union said.
Kyrgyz Football Union President Kanatbek Mamatov participated in the video conference with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, President of Asian Football Confederation Shaikh Salman, Presidents of Football Federations of Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, FIFA Deputy Secretary-General Mattias Grafstrom on August 4.
Gianni Infantino outlined the actions undertaken to provide support to associations and members of FIFA during COVID-19 pandemic. The Presidents of Football Federations provided updates on coronavirus situations and impacts in their countries.
Mamatov said Kyrgyzstan had to change the format and composition of the national championship. The futsal championship was held and the winner was announced, who will participate in Asia 2020 futsal championship.
Mamatov reminded to FIFA President Gianni Infantino that he earlier promised to make official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
Infantino replied he always keeps his promises and will fly to Kyrgyzstan when the international flights are relaunched.
