Parliament committee passes bill equating party advisers to Afghanistan war soldiers

AKIPRESS.COM – Members of the parliament committee for foreign affairs, defense and security of Kyrgyzstan passed draft amendments to the law on veterans of wars, Armed Forces and rear workers in the third reading on March 10.

Chairman of the committee, MP Iskhak Pirmatov said the bill will allow party advisers, who participated in the military actions on the territory of other countries, to receive social guarantees on equal basis with Afghanistan war veterans.

311 party advisers from Kyrgyztsan worked in Afghanistan from November 1978 to October 1988.
