(MENAFN – Daily Outlook Afghanistan) PESHAWAR – A European Union delegation has met Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Matters of mutual interest and regional security, including the reconciliation process in Afghanistan, came up for discussion at Tuesday’s meeting.
European Union Ambassador Androulla Kaminara led the delegation, which held talks with Gen. Bajwa at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
The delegation appreciated Pakistan’s role for peace and stability in the region, according to a statement from the army’s media wing.
Diplomats from Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, France, Greece, Austria and Denmark were part of the delegation. (Pajhwok)
