206 people received asylum in Kyrgyzstan: State Migration Service
AKIPRESS.COM – 206 people received asylum in Kyrgyzstan as of Jan ,2020, said the head of the State Migtation Service Bolotbek Ibraimjanov at the parliament meeting on Feb 6.
According to Ibraimjanov, 90 of them were from Afghanistan, 79 from Syria, 23 from Ukraine, 6 from Iraq, 4 from Tajikistan, 2 from Iran, 1 from Ethiopia and 1 from Morocco.
Ibraimjanov noted that citizens without visa will receive a response to the asylum request within 72 hours.
Ibraimjanov added that mostly asylum seekers are citizens of countries where warfare take place, ethnic Kyrgyz from neighboring countries and 1 citizen from Ethiopia received asylum for religious reasons.
